We are currently in Chapter 1: Cantlin. Previously, Davilas raised Cantlin to Level 2 and defended it from a monster attack. Now, he will check out the lands through the Blue Teleportal.

After resuming, he sets down the Blue Teleportal (time 0:24). It activates it, and he can now take it to another island.

Then, Davilas speaks with Rollo (time 1:01). He asks Davilas to learn how to make the Giant Mallet, which he can use to gather various new materials. Davilas will have to consult with the Hammerhoods.

Davilas takes the Blue Teleportal (time 2:25). He arrives at a teleportal shrine in the east of the southwestern island. This area consists of rocky highlands loaded with useful materials.

In the teleportal shrine, Davilas finds a chest containing an ancient note and a Blue Naviglobe (time 2:43). Davilas can set down the Blue Naviglobe to have the Blue Naviglobe's location marked on the map.

Davilas finds a small chasm just to the west of the teleportal shrine. Be careful not to fall in. A friendly Hammerhood will tell Davilas how to create stairs by placing Earth blocks on the wall.

In this chasm, Davilas can find a chest containing a Seed of Life (time 5:17).

He finds the Hammerton Heights Visitor Centre (time 5:54), where a friendly Hammerhood points him to Clobberina. Clobberina has a bonfire on the roof of her house. The Hammerhood gives Davilas a Signpost. It will also warn Davilas against the Hammerhoods' palette swaps, Brownies, which will attack humans on sight.

After fighting some aggressive Brownies, Davilas acquires some Fur (time 10:22). He learns the recipes for Leather Armour and Leather Shield.

At Clobberina's house, Davilas talks to Clobberina (time 12:36). Before she will teach Davilas how to make Giant Mallets, she asks him to fix the three holes in her roof with Straw Floor. To make Straw Floor, Davilas can gather the area's Ivy, use it to make Cord, and use the Cord to make Straw Floor.

Afterwards, Davilas gathers some Ivy (time 14:39). He learns how to make Cord.

There is a Mason's Workstation on Clobberina's roof. When Davilas crafts some Cords, he learns how to make Straw Floor. To make 10 units of Straw Floor, Davilas needs 5 Grassy Leaves and 3 Cords. There are also Grassy Leaves in the area.

When he is ready, Davilas crafts some Straw Floor (time 15:39). He learns how to craft Straw Flooring kits, which changes nearby Earth floors into Straw Floor blocks. Block modifiers of this nature are generally more economical than making a bunch of individual blocks.

Then, Davilas fits three blocks of Straw Floor into the holes in Clobberina's roof.

Davilas reports to Clobberina (time 16:16). She rewards him by teaching him how to make the Giant Mallet. It can be used to smash trees and rocks, and it can even be used to gather various minerals and ores from the area, including Copper, Coal, and Iron. However, the Giant Mallet is a bit awkward to use in battle. She also points out that certain materials can be used to make other materials, like Ivy was used to make Cord.

At the teleporter shrine, Davilas returns to the Cantlin base (time 22:03).

After resting, he builds a Giant Mallet (time 23:04). It requires 3 Broken Branches.

Then, he reports to Rollo (time 23:40). Rollo rewards Davilas with 2 Chimaera Wings and some good advice. Quest complete.

Rollo and Larouche now have quests available. Davilas will get to them next time.
