Previously, the party explored Felonia Castle and gained information about the legendary shield. One of the most important pieces of information is from the librarian on Felonia Castle's second level. Important information is also available from King Poseidon after Gracos's defeat and from a hermit in a cave east of Clearvale in the dream world.

Now, it is time to go after that legendary shield. They head to Pescado int he real world, where they start sailing northeast (time 0:32).

North of Swanstone, the river leads directly into the Cryptic Catacombs (time 1:16). This dungeon is aptly named. However, if the party got the three hints scattered throughout the game, party chat will recall the needed clues. Level B1 is reminiscent of the Lost Woods in Zelda. The party has to go the right way, or they will find themselves back at the beginning.

Before going after the stairway, the party goes north past the crossroads and the west at the T-intersection. This leads them to a chest containing a Seed of Resilience (time 2:01). Also, there is a chest in this area containing 1,900 gold.

After the first battle, Carver, the Carpenter's Son, reaches Level 33 (time 3:25). Also, Nevan, the Ghentile Prodigy, reaches Level 31.

Back at the crossroads near the start (time 4:40), the party then goes north, east, and south. They find a chest containing Mini Medal #071 (time 4:53).

Back near the start (time 5:17), the party is now ready to progress. Following the directions from the man in the cave east of Clearvale, they go north, east, north, west, and south.

Then, the party goes down the stairs to level B2 (time 6:22).

In the southwest corner, a chest contains the Spiked Armour (time 7:22). When a party member wearing this is physically attacked, the armor reflects some damage back on the attacker. Not half bad.

In the east, a chest contains Mini Medal #072 (time 8:41).

The Felonia scholar's clue refers to the golden dragon statue on this level. To the south, the party must circle the wall slightly and then examine the interior patch of grass (time 10:18). This reveals the stairway to B3.

The party then goes downstairs to level B3 (time 11:29). This is the room of repetition that King Poseidon alluded to. First, the party must go down three levels, and then they must go up two levels. Once this is done, they can continue south past the up stairway.

Then, they can descend to level B4 (time 12:55). This floor is just a straight-up, sprawling maze. First, they go west to reach the southern section of the level.

As they proceed, Ashlynn reaches Sage Rank 8, Oracle (time 14:06). She learns Kaboom and Kathwack.

Shortly afterwards, Ashlynn, the Scion of Sorceria, reaches Level 29 (time 15:58).

Due south of the stairway, there is a chest containing Mini Medal #073 (time 16:27).

Then, from the stairway, the party follows the path leading east, north, and west.

Milly, the Mysterious Girl, reaches Level 32 (time 17:49).

Further along, Milly reaches Priest Rank 5, Pastor (time 18:59). She learns Whack, but of course, she already knows Kabuff.

Next, Goowain, the Slime Knight, reaches Level 26 (time 20:32).

On the prominent northwestern pedestal, the party finally reaches the chest containing the Shield of Valora (time 22:09). Yay, the first piece of legendary equipment! The protagonist should get this right away.

After using Evac to get out of the cave (time 23:31), the party Zooms to Alltrades Abbey in the dream world. Ashlynn has mastered Sage, so she will now go down the path of Armamentalist. It requires Mage, which she has mastered, and Warrior, which she has not. So, she changes vocations to Warrior. She starts at Warrior Rank 1, Ruffian.

Nevan is very close to mastering Paladin, as well, so the party Zooms to the Spiegelspire (time 24:42).

After a few battles, Nevan reaches Paladin Rank 8, Holy Knight (time 26:18). He learns Pearly Gates.

Then, the party Zooms back to Alltrades Abbey (time 26:52). Nevan will now go down the road of Sage, so he changes to Rank 1 Mage, Novice.

Next time, the party will continue their hunt for the legendary equipment.
