Previously, after taking on some initial vocations at Alltrades Abbey, the party revisited folks in previous towns. Madame Luca advised them to head to Scrimsley, which is east of Ghent and north of Port Haven. So, Scrimsley will be their next serious destination. Note that Scrimsley is an optional destination, but completing the events there properly will get the party a decent new party member. Before heading there, though, they will first sail around a bit.

South of Somnia, they find a house north of Castle Swanstone (time 2:31). The old man here tells about Castle Swanstone to the south. However, the party cannot get there yet because the floodgate along the strait is shut tight. Maybe there is another way... Unfortunately, this house has nothing to loot.

As the party continues sailing, Ashlynn, the Runaway Teen, reaches Level 10 and learns Evac (time 5:22).

On the mountainous peninsula to the east of this house, the party finds a mysterious stairway in the middle of nowhere (time 6:28). This leads them to an isolated island southeast of Somnia in the Dream World. There is nothing for them here right now, so they go back down to the Real World.

A little to the southeast of this stairway, they locate the Border Checkpoint North of Howsworth (time 6:54). This checkpoint is sealed because the guard is deep in sleep and cannot be awakened. Evidently, this guard is not the only one suffering from such a malady. There is even a Slime Knight here that wants to serve the Prince of Howcastle. The guard himself mentions something about the Isle o' Smiles, which he says is north across the mountains from Arkbolt Castle. This is a clue about where the party has to go to get this checkpoint open.

To the north of Port Haven, the party finds the Mermaids' Reef (time 10:16). Unfortunately, the mermaids are skittish. They will flee underwater as soon as the party comes close.

Back on track, the party lands at a sign by the coast some distance east of Ghent (time 11:09). It points out that Scrimsley is to the north.

The grassy plain between the hills and forests leads right to Scrimsley (time 12:03). The town looks pleasant enough, except for the massive beastly footprints all over the place. There seems to be a nighttime beast problem. What's more, the party is not entirely welcome here. At first, the inn is not open for business.

On the roof of the inn, one pot contains an Antidotal Herb (time 14:46). Another pot contains 15 Gold.

In the center of town, the party can find Mini Medal #010 (time 15:47).

The weapons and armour shops are in the northeast, but they don't offer any improvements over what was available in previous shops. The same is true at the item shop in the southwest.

Inside Amos's house in the northwest, the bookshelves contain a couple of entertaining volumes: 'Canine Communication: Making Head and Tail of Your Dog' (time 20:07) and 'A Slime's Story: Part Four' (time 20:42). Aw, poor Ooozo.

In the northeast of Amos's house, a chest of drawers contains a Scale Shield (time 21:52).

Inside Amos's house, the party must talk to the town's languishing guardian (time 22:12). While fighting attacking monsters, he suffered a bite to the rear end. He is still in pain. Still, he is pleasant enough. He suggests the party rest for the night at the inn. The party can now rest at the inn.

In the house just west of the town square, one of the pots in the kitchen contains the vast sum of 3 Gold (time 25:40). The chest of drawers in the bedroom contains Mini Medal #011 (time 26:13).

In the house just west of the inn, the northeast wardrobe contains Rags (time 27:50). Oh, boy. The neighboring bookshelf holds the volume 'Warrior Cat Tales: Part Three'. Yes ... I do detect a distinct correlation between 'Warrior Cat Tales' and 'A Slime's Story'.

A boss battle (of sorts) awaits after the party stays at the inn, so they will sign off in the church.

Thanks for watching!
