Twilight Princess is in my opinion one of the best games in the franchise. After the delightful cel-shaded animation of Wind Waker, Twilight Princess returns to a (slightly) more realistic animation style. Now, the cel-shaded style of Wind Waker did not turn me off; in fact, I thought it fit that game world well. However, I'm glad they took the route they did in Twilight Princess, because the game looks and sounds excellent, and the gameplay is top notch in most respects. I also like that the game goes down a slightly darker road than its predecessors.
I found it interesting that Nintendo chose to release it at the same time for GameCube and Wii. In the GameCube version, Link is left-handed, as he is traditionally. For the Wii, they made him right-handed, probably to avoid confusing the typical right-handed player. In addition, they flipped everything else left-to-right. They even flipped the entire game world west-to-east. The most glaring example of this is the sun, which rises in the west and sets in the east in the Wii version. Aside from this, they are the same game. Any given item in the GameCube version will be in the corresponding location in the Wii version. I like both versions, and I think they are equally worthy of play time.
This video shows the title screens and the title cinematic. In the next video, I will start the game.
Thanks for watching!
