Previously, the party visited the town of Scrimsley, where not all seems quite right. They have just spoken with the town hero, Amos, who is a bit under the weather after a monster bit him in the rump. After speaking with Amos, they can rest at the town's inn to progress the Scrimsley story.

So, after resuming, the party chooses to stay at Scrimsley's inn, despite the proprietor's recommendations to the contrary (time 0:32).

However, noises awaken them in the middle of the night (time 1:07). Too bad the screen doesn't shake a little bit, but soft stomps can be heard in the background. The party talks to the innkeeper and the minstrel in the other room.

The party takes the stairs to the roof (time 2:38). From there, they can see a massive Drackal-like creature in the middle of town! Jumping down, they confront this beast (time 3:08).

The Scrimsley Terror is not much to fear, though it does have fairly strong attacks. Its worst attack is a ground quake that strikes all allies. Sap does not work well on it. The Rank 1 Mage spell, Frizzle, is quite powerful. Midheal and the Staff of Ghent should serve your healing needs admirably. This beast drops a set of Stone Fangs when defeated.

A scene takes place after the Scrimsley Terror is defeated (time 5:18). The innkeeper rushes out to prevent the party from killing the monster. Then, the beast is revealed to be none other than Amos, the town hero! And poor Amos is quite unaware of it. After some other townspeople rush Amos off to bed, the innkeeper agrees to tell all in the morning.

In the morning, they chat with the innkeeper (time 7:27). Ever since that monster bit Amos, he has been transforming into a monster every night, sort of like a werewolf, though it doesn't seem that a full moon is required. However, these townspeople are actually decent folk, and they want to protect their protector. As the party talks with other townspeople, it becomes apparent that they should not even tell Amos himself, or he would decide to leave town. When they talk to the priest in the town square, Milly will offer an important point in party chat: Amos will eventually learn the truth at some point.

The old lady in the house just west of the inn offers the solution to the Amos dilemma (time 9:58). The party must find some Seeds of Reason on Hazy Heights, the mountain northeast of Scrimsley. Her husband in the northeast of town will echo her advice.

Note that if you drop in on Amos, you DO NOT want to tell him the truth about what he's been doing (time 15:22). This will cause him to leave town, and you'll never be able to find him again.

With that, it is time for the party to head out (time 16:58). They head northeast.

Thanks for watching!
