Previously, Davilas completed Quest 064, the Level 40 Mage vocation quest, and started the Level 45 task, Quest 065. He will finish off this quest and then carry out the last quest in the line.

He had previously started Quest 065 in Rendoa. The first major objective is to go to the Abandoned Castle north of Kamiharumui. So, after hiring his party, Davilas heads out to the Northern Kamiharumui countryside (time 3:23). From there, he follows the road north to the Phantom Forest (time 4:32). In the Phantom Forest, he goes east to the Abandoned Castle through the H-4 exit (time 6:57). In the Abandoned Castle, he enters the main keep through the door at D-6 (time 7:39).

The objective is at the northern building in the main keep (time 8:29). Davilas must go clockwise around the outer deck to find a back entrance at E-6. As he enters, he finds a barrier in his way. Ryunan seems to be locked behind this barrier. He asks Davilas to defeat Incubus enemies with the Hyado/Crack spell out in the Phantom Forest and bring back the Toramana Stone key item.

So, Davilas heads back to the Phantom Forest to the west (time 11:25). The Incubus critters show up at night along the route between the Northern Kamiharumui countryside and the Abandoned Castle (time 12:14). They seem like something out of Winnie the Pooh. For this quest, they must be defeated with the Crack spell. When defeated properly, one will drop the Toramana Stone key item.

Once Davilas has this item, he returns to the back entrance to the building at E-6 in the Abandoned Castle (time 15:53). The Toramana Stone's power gets rid of the barrier. Ryunan is standing around the corner, but he does not seem to want Davilas to approach him. What we can see shows that he carries a staff.

After the scene, Davilas zooms back to Rendoa (time 17:24). There, he again rests at the inn in the southern part of town (time 18:08). Ryunan rewards him with Miracle Zone, the Mage's Coup de Grâce ability. I believe this reduces MP consumption to 0 for 60 seconds. Quest 133 complete!

Another montage plays after the quest completion (time 21:07).

Afterwards, Davilas stays at the Rendoa inn once more (time 22:29). At night, Ryunan assigns him Quest 066, the Level 50 Mage vocation quest. Davilas must now go to the Snowy Field Ruins in eastern Rangao Mountains north of Glen.

So, in the morning, Davilas zooms back to Glen (time 25:25). Outside of town, he takes the carriage northeast to Rangao Village (time 26:02). In Rangao Mountain, he heads east and enters the Snowy Field Ruins at H-3 (time 29:02). Inside, he finds Megidoroumu hovering over two unconscious forms. Evidently, one of them is Ryunan!

Afterwards, it is time to fight Megidoroumu (time 30:12). As one might expect, he is a wizard with with the powerful Kafrizzle spell. Wizard Ward and Magic Barrier will be helpful for survival. It appears that Megidoroumu can also boost his magic attack and recover MP, so be careful.

After the battle, another scene takes place (time 32:46). Megidoroumu kicks the bucket. Then, Ryunan saves Davilas from getting stabbed in the back. Yes, Ryunan is the cat mage. I kind of figured. He rewards Davilas with the Proof of Mage, which when equipped allows him to cast the same spell twice in a row occasionally. Quest 066 complete!

The final montage for this quest line plays out afterwards (time 36:18). Hopefully, that takes care of the mirror problems at Rendoa's inn!

After completing this quest, Davilas reaches Mage Level 51 (time 36:53). He learns "Mahyado," which I think is Kacrack.

That is it for the Mage vocation quests. Time to start on Martial Artist. After resting at home (time 38:19), Davilas zooms over to Sanmen Gate (time 40:30). There, he takes on a gate quest to slay 15 Buffalons (バッファロン) in Northern Rebyuuru Road (time 41:11). He also changes vocation to Level 36 Martial Artist (time 42:04).

Then, he zooms to Gran Zedoura to approach Northern Rebyuuru Road from the east (time 43:18). In the Gran Zedoura countryside, he takes the northwest exit at C-1 to Northern Rebyuuru Road (time 44:52).

After one battle, Davilas reaches Martial Artist Level 37 (time 47:04). He gains 4 skill points, which he puts into Focus for a total of 76. I'm looking forward to that HP boost at 80 points.

The yellowish Buffalons tend to appear in the southern section of Northern Rebyuuru Road (time 48:06). Look out for their goring move, which can knock a party member over. Look out for the area's numerous Foresdons, which can resurrect their fallen friends. Fortunately, the Foresdons on the field seem to be dash-type rather than chase-type.
