Davilas is currently carrying out the Version 2.2 storyline. Previously, he finished Quest 350 in the west of True Rendaashia. Now, it is time to report in to Sage Rushenda at Gran Zedoura and begin the final dungeon of the Version 2.2 storyline. Yet, there will be more story content from Version 2.3 and 2.4, but not quite as much.

A scene occurs as Davilas enters Sage Rushenda's office on the second floor in True Gran Zedoura Castle (time 1:43). He finds Rushenda and Princess Anlucia. Anlucia has ignited three flame stones, to some purpose, and Davilas has powerd up the Pendulum of Destiny pendant again. The pendant points the way to Souraria Gorge in the southeast of Rendaashia, but this time a dark power destroys the pendant! That is singularly unhelpful. Nevertheless, it is now time to head to Souraria Gorge again.

After the scene, Davilas takes the opportunity to fast-travel to the encampment in True Ryana Desolate Zone (time 4:42). While here, he takes the opportunity to set a Ruura Stone for the camp.

Then, Davilas heads southeast from the camp to the exit to Souraria Gorge at G-6 (time 6:27). However, the gorge has become twisted and deformed by evil. This dungeon is actually the Twisted Deformed Earth. The delightful final dungeon music from DQ8 plays here. Anlucia arrives. After looking at this place in horror for a moment, she rushes ahead. Why not accompany the party?

After the scene, Davilas begins exploring the Twisted Deformed Earth. He begins in the first area of the dungeon.

At E-6, Davilas encounters the first of several teleportation stones in an alcove (time 9:55). Before this one activates, Davilas must defeat a Barbarossa.

A Barbarossa can be found in the area just east of the alcove (time 10:24). Once the Barbarossa is defeated, the teleportation stone is activated (time 10:59).

Davilas returns to the teleportation stone at E-6 (time 12:20). It will transport him to the upper level or the lower level. Currently, he is at the middle level. He first chooses to go to the upper level. However, the bridge up here is broken.

So, he next chooses to go to the lower level (time 12:55). On the lower level, he can continue west.

He finds another teleportation stone at D-6 (time 13:44). Currently on the lower level, he goes up to the middle level, then the upper level.

On the upper level, he can find a black chest containing a Purple Orb at D-6 (time 14:14).

Afterwards, Davilas chooses to go to the middle level with the stone at D-6 (time 14:26). From here, he can continue west and then south.

Another teleporter is in the south of D-6 (time 15:28). Currently at the middle level, his only other option is to go to the upper level.

Continuing on, Davilas enters the second area of the dungeon (time 15:52).

Davilas finds the next teleporter at E-6 (time 16:17). Currently at the upper level, he can go to the middle or lower level. First, he tries the middle level.

At E-6 on the middle level, he finds a black chest containing a Sage's Elixir (time 16:34).

Then, Davilas goes down to the lower level (time 16:49). This lets him explore the base level of the second area.

In the alcove at E-5, Davilas finds an inactive teleporter stone (time 17:36). This requires him to kill three Flower Zombies.

The Flower Zombies can be found roaming around the base level of the second area (time 17:59).

In short order, Davilas and company have taken out all three Flower Zombies (time 19:47). The teleporter stone at E-5 activates.

Davilas returns to the teleporter stone at E-5 (time 20:45). Currently at the middle level, he takes the only other option to go up to the upper level.

To the northwest, another teleporter stone is in northern E-5 (time 21:15). Currently at the middle level, he takes the only other option to go to the upper level. This takes him to another bridge section.

A teleporter stone is to the northwest at D-4 (time 22:13). It is actually in the fourth area of the dungeon. However, Davilas will have to continue on before he can unlock it.

In the north at D-4, there is a black chest containing another Sage's Elixir (time 22:58). Is the game trying to tell us something?

To the east, Davilas finds a teleporter stone in an alcove at E-4 (time 23:29). Currently at the upper level, he takes the only other option to go to the middle level.

He arrives in the third area of the dungeon. After going through this area once, I would recommend first going to the alcove to the north to find out what monsters need to be killed.

At F-5, there is a black chest containing a Red Orb (time 26:19).

At E-2 in the north, there is a black chest containing a Pazuzu Card (time 28:06).

Next, Davilas will check out the next alcove with a teleporter stone.
