Previously, Davilas explored Ishi Village. He learned from his mother, Perura, that he arrived in town 16 years ago. He is apparently the descendant of a legendary hero. Now, he must leave town and head north to Derukadaaru Kingdom in search of information.
Before leaving, he visits the item shop (time 1:25). He picks up the Bandana. The Wayfarer's Clothes are also an improvement, but for now, I'd rather have the improved gold gathering from the gold vest.
An elderly gentleman in the east of town has some story info (time 2:33). Perura is waiting for him by the northern exit towards Derukadaaru.
By the eastern house, a bearded man has Quest 1: "Easy for Everyone" ("みんあに やさしく") (time 3:00). The quests in this game are not formally numbered, but they show up in a specific order in the log. Anyway, this gentleman is seeking a Flurry Feather, which can be found at a spawn point on the roof of Davilas's barn. I show the location, but the feather has not respawned yet.
Afterwards, Davilas delivers the Flurry Feather to the quest giver (time 4:34). The man rewards him with a Sleeping Hibiscus. It can be used in battle to put an enemy to sleep, but it is best used as an alchemy ingredient. Quest 1 complete!
From behind Davilas's house, Davilas can hop into the waterfall pool and find a spawn point for Fresh Water (time 6:10).
At Dan and Emma's house, Ruki is guarding the door (time 6:42). Emma has locked herself inside. She does not want to see anyone. If you peek in through the rear window, you will see Emma working on something.
Davilas does another sweep through town to collect things from the spawn points: a Medicinal Herb, a Beautiful Branch, and a Flurry Feather.
Then, Davilas talks to Perura at the northern exit from town (time 8:37). He must choose the upper option, "Yes", when prompted. The townspeople have come out to see Davilas off. Dan wishes Davilas well on his journey. He gives Davilas the Rotozetashia Map and a horse to use. Poor Perura is tearful about his departure, like any good mother. Then, Emma comes and gives Davilas Emma's Amulet, an accessory. Finally, Davilas departs.
Davilas arrives at the southern end of Derukadaaru Field (time 12:05). This game's overworld is segmented into separate maps like DQ10 and FF12. A tutorial appears to show the player that the horse can be summoned at the bells scattered around the overworld.
Davilas equips Emma's Amulet right away. It gives a boost of 1 to Defence and some other boosts. The Rotozetashia Map allows Davilas to pull up options on the map screen. He will be able to see adjacent zones, the world map, quest memos, and foraging points.
Before heading out, Davilas turns about and returns to Ishi Village (time 12:49). He can now access the southern section of the village. The southern section has a graveyard and fishing pier to the east and the path to God's Rock to the west.
In front of a hay storage area just east of the path leading north, Davilas finds a pot containing 11 Gold (time 14:41).
To the east, on the shore of the stream, there are barrels (time 15:28). One contains 4 Gold.
There are also barrels behind the southwestern hut (time 17:32). One contains a Beautiful Branch.
Afterwards, Davilas heads out to Derukadaaru Field (time 19:25). After using the bell to summon his horse, he sets out. In addition to the Slimes and Mokkokii introduced in God's Rock, the southern area near Ishi Village is home to Ravens. There are also passages leading east and west, but those are closed off right now.
In a ruin just past the pass leading to Ishi Village, there is a foraging point for Chimaera Wings (time 20:45). In this installment, a Chimaera Wing will teleport him to the town he has most recently visited.
Davilas makes his way northwards through a cave to the central part of Derukadaaru Kingdom. There are Drackies in this cave.
After fighting a Raven, Davilas reaches Level 4 (time 26:42).
By the southern border of the central area, Davilas finds a chest containing a Seed of Life (time 29:32).
Nearby, at the base of a tree, there is a foraging point for Medicinal Herbs (time 30:32).
The description is continued in the comments.
