We are currently in the postgame. Previously, the party revisited the Forgotten Tower. Ketos is now ready to transport them to the final battle with Nizuzerufa. However, they are not ready to face the game's true final boss yet! There are new plot points in various places and new treasures to find.

First, the party zooms to Derukadaaru Castle Town (time 2:51).

Outside Deku's house, Deku's assistant has some story information (time 3:56). Maybe Deku has gone to Ishi Village. The party will be heading there in time.

The party enters Derukadaaru Castle (time 4:28). In the northwest, they descend the stairway to the dungeon (time 5:07). They take the middle stairway down to the cells (time 5:30). The Ultimate Key can unlock four cells in the cell block.

In the southeast cell, there are two chests (time 5:49). One contains a lovely Skull Helm. I don't think it's a good idea to try equipping this; it may be cursed. The other chest contains a recipe book for a turban and a mantle. I wonder if these are for Camus.

Aside from a jailbird in the northeast cell, there is nothing of interest in the other cells. Bummer.

The party returns to the main part of the castle (time 6:56).

Up in the throne room on the second floor, Davilas talks to King Derukadaaru (time 7:43). He fills him in on what the party has found out, from the Town of God's People to Nizuzerufa.

As Davilas moves away, a scene takes place (time 8:24). The king asks for a private word with Martina. The king and Martina talk about what has happened. Then, the king gives Martina a tiara that her mother had.

The party regains control in the throne room (time 11:14). The tiara is good for Veronica, Senya, and Martina. In my party, Veronica will see the most immediate benefit.

Next, the party zooms to Homusubi Mountains (time 11:46). In the northwest, they head into the Wilderness Labyrinth (time 13:06). There are Ultimate Key doors in the far northern room where they rescued Rupas.

After a battle, Sylvia reaches Level 53 (time 17:16). He gains 9 skill points for a total of 15. For an event, Sylvia will need to learn Metal Slash for a Renkei with Greg, so he picks up a couple of Sword nodes: the lower trait node for 6 points and Sword Guard abilty for 7 points. He earns the accolade Moodmaker for acquiring 20 nodes on his Skill Panel. Metal Slash is in the upper left of his Sword section. He reveals an ability bordering on the Whip section, an increase in Zone chance.

After another battle, Greg reaches Level 53 (time 20:06). He gains 9 skill points for a total of 22. Greg picks up his top Shield trait for 12 points, a boost of 4% to guard chance while equipped with a shield. He reveals the bordering node in Virtue, a Zone chance boost.

The party takes advantage of the free healing and saving at the Goddess fountain (time 22:21).

Look out for Uberkilling Machines in the northern rooms. Thankfully, they are not as nasty as in DQ6, though their crits do hit very hard.

In the northern cell block, the chest behind the western Ultimate Key door contains a Metal King Vest (time 24:53). Certainly a worthwile piece of armor, and anyone can equip it!

In the northwestern cell, the chest is really an Evil Pandora's Box (time 25:54)! Be on the lookout for its nasty Kathwack spell and MP absorption. Otherwise, it's still easier than the basic Canniboxes in DQ3.

At the end of the battle, the Evil Pandora's Box drops a Seed of Skill (time 28:27).

In the northeastern cell, the chest contains a recipe book (time 29:01). It has recipes for the Marshal Mantle and Marshal Boots. Sounds like something for Greg!

The eastern cell contains nothing.

Next, the party zooms to Samadii Castle Town (time 30:09).

They go down the well east of the town entrance (time 30:53).

In the west, behind the Ultimate Key door, they find a chest with a Magma Stone (time 31:15). Not terribly valuable, but it's better than nothing.

Next time, the party will continue their revisiting tour by traveling to Daaharuune.
