This is video #127 in my playthrough of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. I am playing the Western version for the Sony PlayStation 4. Previously, we began the postgame. After their victory tour, the party visited the Mysterious Ruins in the Dundrasil Region and found the Wheel of Time. Now, they need to find a tower north of Yggdrasil.

After resuming, the party takes to the skies aboard Cetacea. North of Yggdrasil, they touch down at the Lost Land.

In the north of the Lost Land, they approach the door to the Tower of Lost Time. The party goes in, but they have been followed.

Lifts provide transportation from one platform to another. When they reach the northwest platform, they go south and take the yellow lift to the southwest platform. The next yellow lift to the southeast takes them to the northern platform, where a chest contains an Agate of Evolution.

After backtracking to the northwest platform, they take the blue lift in the northeast. It transports them to the eastern platform. To the north, a chest contains the recipe book "A Hero's Book of Basic Weapons". This has recipes for Nebula Swords, Darting Daggers, Asterangs, Shining Staves, Straight Pokers, Mega Gringham Whips, Dragonlord Claws, and Maxi Axes. These are actually upgrade recipes for unique weapons such as the Stardust Sword, the Poker, and the Gringham Whip.

The party takes the lift in the south of the platform. It takes them upstairs to the Altar of Ages. There, a scene occurs as they approach the large spirit, the Timekeeper. She explains what Davilas must do, but she also points out some drawbacks.

After this scene, the party heads forward towards the altar. However, Davilas's companions step forward. After this, Davilas can speak to each of his companions. Erik is the last one; when Davilas speaks to him, another scene will take place.

Then, Davilas approaches the Timekeeper for another scene. She explains that much will be lost, but not all.

The point of no return is when Davilas approaches the altar. Davilas chooses to go forward. A long sequence of events takes place.

At the end of this, Davilas arrives in Arboria. The player earns the trophy "A Momentous Decision". Davilas now has the title Time Traveller. He still has his levels, and everyone's stuff has been put in the bag.

Davilas enters Arboria's cathedral for a scene. This makes it clear when he arrived.

After the scene, Davilas is back with his party. It is now time to go through the First Forest to Yggdrasil. The party has their levels and abilities as of this time, but you can update their weapons and armour as desired. You can expect Davilas to carry the party for a short time.

Once everyone has been set up, the party heads east to the Arborian Highlands. The treasure chests in the southeastern Arborian Highlands have been refilled. At the first intersection, the party turns north and finds a chest with Mini Medal #076. They rest at the Arborian Highlands Campsite to get it back on the Zoom list. On the southern side of the broken bridge, they find a chest with another Magic Circle.

The parth exits to the First Forest. The chests here have been refilled, too. On the plateau in the northwest, a chest contains Saint's Ashes. In the southern cave, a chest contains 3,000 gold. On the ledge outside the southeastern exit of the cave, a chest contains an Ethereal Stone. At the southeastern dead end of the area, a chest contains a Savvy Sapphire.

North of the campsite on the middle level, a chest at the base of the waterfall contains an Enchanted Stone.

The party rests at the lower campsite to get it back on the Zoom list and saves. Next time, they will continue up to Yggdrasil and try to do things correctly this time.
