Previously, the party finished gathering the treasures and revealing the paths in the Fortress of Fear. Now, they will confront the next-to-last boss in the main game.

After taming a Dragooner's dragon, the party rises up to floor 4F. In the north wing, they take the northern exit leading towards the Palace of Malice.

When they reach the Tower of Terror, a scene takes place. I dislike Mr. J more and more. After the scene, it is time to fight Jasper Unbound. This is a true test of your abilities in super-strong monster mode. Jasper loves to use Disruptive Wave, so do not waste too much time with buffs. He has high attack power, which makes his desperate attacks very dangerous. His flurry of blows is also dangerous. His swooping attack can knock an ally off their feet. He calls for backup in the form of Balhibs. Fortunately, it is possible to envenomate him, which enables Erik to maim him with Victimiser. I highly recommend that the Luminary know Omniheal and that the party have Sage's Elixirs and Yggdrasil Leaves on hand.

At Level 57, Hendrik picks up the Axes ability Scrap Mettle, an improved form of Helm Splitter.

After the battle, there is a scene with Jasper. I think he definitely went about things the wrong way. The party recovers the Silver Orb.

The party continues through the northern door to the Path to the Palace of Malice. Another scene takes place as they approach the teleportal to the north. Jasper tries to throw another wrench in the works, but it does not end as he expected.

With this, the party can now step forward to face Mordegon, but that will be in the future. For now, the party will go after the remaining monsters in the Fortress of Fear. They go down to the second floor, where they take out a couple of Leger-de-Men.

Next time, the party will hunt downt he last remaining monsters in the Fortress of Fear and then maybe do some more crafting.
