東方実在相 ~ Dream Logical World (v1.00a) - Lucid Lunatic 1cc (Youmu/Koishi)
So that's a thing.
Lucid Mode is a secret mode for the main game unlocked after completing the Extra Stage once. Your X key is disabled, forcing a "No Bomb", while you have both of your team's Aspect Shifts active, and you run through the main game and the Extra Stage in one shot.
This leads to... interesting shit.
Reimu/Kasen become even worse, due to how the former's Aspect Shift works, and they get no benefits for their shot. Since Aspect Shifts are "disabled", you're not getting big PIV numbers for score either.
Marisa/Yuuka get a wide range shot, and the rotating flower that deletes bullets, so you do get some PIV.
Sakuya/Reisen get their shot fire rate increased, so their damage gets bolstered to pretty insane degrees (you kill the Extra boss's spells in like 12 seconds...).
Sanae/Seija basically mix the effects of their ASes into one. Once you get a really good prize, you also get Seija's post-AS invincibility on top of that, which allows you to spawngraze stuff for like 30 seconds and get even more prizes from Sanae. Well-timed, you can delete patterns you don't like.
Aya/Kosuzu get Aya's constant photos (which also give PIV), as well as Kosuzu's constant power, score, graze, PIV, PoC line and damage increases, which becomes really funny. At the end of the run, the entire screen becomes the PoC field. It ends up going off-screen even, Aya and Kosuzu could be jumping around in your computer like Koishi does to MegamanOmega, and they'd still get items.
But Youmu/Koishi... hoo boy, the things you can do with this team in Lucid Mode are ridiculous. The team's standard shot becomes 8-way on Youmu's AS. This by itself means with good positioning, you can hit most of it when shotgunning and delete patterns before they become a threat. The best part comes from Koishi's AS though. Normally, it's an autobomb, so what do you get in a mode where ASes are always active? ...yeah, any time you take a hit, you just spend 1 power and get off scot free. Not only that, but it also keeps the 2.5 second i-frames from using an AS, so if you get hit on a boss attack, you can sit on the boss and melt the pattern.
Also, this is why earlier I put "No Bomb" in quotes, because getting hit with Koishi's AS still counts as using an AS in the results screen.
Oh and also, Youmu/Koishi is actually my main team for just clearing Standard Mode too. I mean, it's Youmu and Koishi, what else do you need. Oh right, Youmu also wears a hoodie in this game, so even more reason to use her! (I like hoodies. They're cute. [literally wearing one right now as of writing this])
On this run, basically what I did was build up lives, melt patterns when I took a hit, and then spend them all on Miyu. Pretty much speedrun shottype.
Also, on the note of Extra, there's actually three difficulties for Extra in this game, Easy Extra, regular Extra, and if you beat the main game on Lunatic or Overdrive, you unlock Elite Extra. The regular Extra is honestly kinda insane if you ask me. Miyu has probably the most evil curvy lasers and crisscross bullets I've ever seen...
Anyway, on Lucid Mode, Easy has you go through Easy Extra, Normal and Hard go through regular Extra, and Lunatic and Overdrive have you go through Elite Extra.
But fuck doing any of these patterns when I can just speedrun this fight with all the lives I came in with.
Oh yeah, also dialogue is just non-existent in Lucid Mode, lol.
