Definitely way harder than I anticipated. I thought he would be easy because I didn't struggle with him in my old SL1 playthrough, but I guess it's because he normally doesn't one shot you so mistakes normally aren't that bad. I don't know if there is a tell to know when should you punish his sweeping attacks, I couldn't figure it out myself. That was the cause for most of my deaths. Playing it safe and just going for the punishes on the thrusts made it way easier.
I had initially planned to choose the Reinforced Club for this fight, but I thought the club could be used somewhere else. The 110 critical of Lothric Knight Sword wouldn't see much of benefit elsewhere and it needs 2 rings to be used, so it wouldn't see much use otherwise.
