The dual nature of light refers to waves of light exhibiting both the behavior of a particle, and a wave (which is massless, unlike a particle). So light exhibits behavior of having, and not having mass.

When a electron is shot at a double slit in an obstruction, it generates an interference pattern on the detecting sensor. An interference pattern is the result of constructive and deconstructive interference is a result of interaction between light waves. This stands with the expectation that the electron travel through one or the other slit, and simply land on a spot on the detector.
