Timing starts with the first frame of motion after the initial loading screen. Timing ends with the first frame of the endgame cutscene. For the purposes of making this speedrun reasonable, the default game speed is used, but you can technically make this game run about three times faster if you want.

This is a pretty dang fun run, especially in comparison to the first Duke Nukem (which is admittedly also pretty fun anyway). What makes this especially interesting is the flamethrower or, as I like to call it (and always will) the moon beam. The moon beam lets you propel vertically and reach areas you wouldn't really expect to reach, AND you can take with with you across levels. Needless to say there's exploitation to be had.
