Dungeon Master | Chambers of Devious Design (Tactical Dungeon Builder)
244Chambers of Devious Design is a tactical turn-based dungeon builder game and it's wonderful. Employed by an evil mastermind (who does have a suitably evil mastermindy moustache) we have to build a number of dungeons using modular pieces.
Dungeon pieces have to connected together by their doors and each dungeon piece has a specific type. There are utility rooms, garden rooms, magic rooms and more, each with their own special bonuses. One room might give you a boost if it's next to a garden for example. Rooms are worth certain points and again we can earn more points with clever room placement.
Also making sure that a room is 'complete', which means that all of it's doors lead to other rooms, gives you an extra bonus specific to that room!
We have a go at the campaign mode and to begin with we're just earning points to complete each level but soon enough we're battling to force our opponent to retire due to a lack of building space or we're destroying our opponents rooms with cannons and heat rays!
All in all it's a fantastic turn-based dungeon builder, with some lovely character interaction in the campaign mode, but most importantly of all, it has Vivian in it, and she's marvellous! Go Vivian!

Different rooms have their own unique effects and preferences for neighbors. By finding the optimal placements you can gain a tactical advantage over your opponents and unleash the full potential of your architecture. There is nothing more satisfying than finding just the right fit!
Your opponent shouldn't have started building so close to you... Teach them a lesson by planting a room full of dynamite next to their control room! Or maybe you should shoot at them with a cannon instead?
Enhance your strategy with passive perks and utilize unique special abilities to secure your lead!
Building an opulent lair is a good way to impress the evil mastermind. But sometimes it’s all about destroying your enemies or simply being the last person who can continue building. Play through the campaign for varied gameplay or tune everything according to your wishes in the Custom Game mode. You can even play with your Steam friends!
Each character has their own unique bonuses catering to different playstyles. Find out who is your favorite henchman!
