Another fairly dull day of trying to figure out what the spells I now know the runes for actually do. Not to mention trying to gain some levels so that some of my characters, such as Anders, don't just auto-die against the enemies that can attack the party. Enemies that my physical attacks don't work on, and I still can't find magic to protect me or harm them.

However, I did force my way forward and hit the castle again. And this time made a little progress in it. Even found a shop area, which looks to be able to buy some bombs at a high price. Bombs I am more than willing to sell him. He also has some higher weapons that I will try to get my hands on. Though my armor's starting to weigh my characters down.

This game has been painful for me. I'm having to go back and grind levels in classes that my characters are not supposed to study in. And the eternal struggle with making magic work for me AT ALL is taxing. I really hate games that are this bad at throwing you in a world and explaining NOTHING about how it works. If it were a puzzle game, like Myst, that would be different. But this is an RPG where core gameplay mechanics are hidden from the player.
