1,630Derived from ancient asian myth and legend, the Ghoul of Dungeons and Dragons has been a popular monster through all editions of the game, spawning many variants on the basic template. With putrid grey skin, teeth worn away into fangs and a long lashing tongue, the blackened claws of the ghoul carry a necromantic power that paralyzes those whom the undead touches. In some versions, the bite of the ghoul will cause those it kills to rise as ghouls thereafter, however, this is not true of the current incarnation.
