Dwarf Fortress Part 1 - Setup
4Dwarf Fortress is probably one of the most complex games you can play on a PC. It is a bit of The Sims or Sim City mixed with a Rogue-like. You job is to guide a group of Dwarfs in establishing a new settlement / fortress. It tracks many objects including their composition and quality and the personalities and wants and desires of your dwarfs. You designate where to dig and what build and what to grow. the the dwarfs with decide which of the jobs to do first, and if the become hungry or tired will stop working to eat or sleep.

In this video I go over the basics of the game and show how to setup a world and embark in a location that should be fairly easy to survive in. I embark and show the basics of how to look around and identify what you are looking at, but I don't actually start playing in this video.
