Dynamite Duke Playthrough | Megadrive/ Genesis | Real Hardware
Review - This is like a light gun game that doesn’t use a light gun. The action is much like Operation wolf or Terminator 2 the arcade game when in controller mode. The screen moves on rails along the right of the screen while you move a cursor around the screen to shoot at enemies. There are some additional moves that I haven’t seen in this sort of game before. This is because your character is on the screen and you can move him around to dodge attacks. You can also melee attack close up enemies. Useful if your gun cursor is on the other end of the screen, and it is used on bosses quite a bit. Speaking of bosses, they are hard and you really do have to work out good strategies and be very good with your dodging skills.
The last boss is stupidly hard and annoying as it comes in 3 forms. I could consistently get to the last boss every time, but it asks so much of you to beat it. I barely scraped by even with multiple attempts to form a strategy. At least it only takes 15 minutes to get to him. But that is a very short game by any standards.
