0Mission Impossible achieved in 8h4m. Quite doable, though it requires plenty of planning along the way. The end result even looks like a halfway-respectable base.

Sure the Dark Fog is set to Passive Mode. They can still drop down a base and potentially mow down some of your factory. That's why I went for the Mission Impossible achievement at the same time. It added a certain urgency, and other players might decide that the lazy Zen way with the Fog is okay.
Bonus, the game is in a decent-enough state that it is possible to continue through into the endgame. Sure, there's plenty of belt-fu-spaghetti going on. That can be rectified, then some time for a few Dyson Spheres.
Time for a little break, then time to beat up the Dark Fog. I want my framerates back.
