Echo Night is one of the lesser-known horror titles released for the Playstation within a relatively small series (this game being the first), released in Japan and in fairly limited quantities in the U.S. The story centers around Richard Osmond during 1937, a young traveler who gets wrapped up in a dangerous mystery when the Anchor City police department calls him in to investigate strange occurrences left behind by Henry Osmond, his father.
The game eventually takes place on a cruise ship known as the Orpheus, where you'll get transported to. You have to sooth the souls of angry spirits and ghosts and fend off danger by staying around sources of light. You'll also meet friendlier spirits whom you must help rest in piece by journeying through their flashbacks or giving them items. Enjoy.
