Einhänder is quite an excellent shooting game, developed by Squaresoft who is mostly known for their RPGs. Squaresoft has almost never ventured into this territory before (because some would argue "King's Knight" fits the bill somewhat, but let's just forget about that one for now) and turned out triumphant with this one.

The name Einhänder is German for "single-handed", used in this case to refer to the single manipulator arm possessed by your spacecraft. You are on a mission to destroy the Selene military satellite, Hyperion, which once relayed messages to you to destroy as much of the Earth during the second moon war as possible. However, due to questionable motives and an attempt on your life from the ones you once called allies, you commit an act of treason and go against the Hyperion.

This is another game under the 2.5D category, with three-dimensional elements with two-dimensional gameplay. You have access to several different spacecrafts with different capabilities and they each manage "Gunpods", your main power-ups, in the game. There are a multitude of weapons to use and lots of enemies to shoot down and you'll be doing it in style, with varying camera angles, dramatic and amazing bosses, and at high speeds. If you enjoy shooters, this game is highly recommended. Enjoy.
