This may be a simple pixel-based game, but you will find lots of challenge once you start running. See if you can handle the havoc in this arcade-themed shooting game called EMIT. The task here is to control your robot and survive waves of enemies like soldiers, trucks with machine guns, fighter planes, and even big tanks. You will surely receive lots of damages from rockets and bullets from the enemies. Be sure to jump and grab any coin to get some power-ups or add health. Your robot will level up too and you can use the points to enhance its stats like health, reloading speed, and jumping ability.

```
Overview:
EMIT brings forth that classic arcade feel to it. It has that classic graphical presentation and music to go along with the game. The main thing that makes it so arcade like is that it is a bit difficult. EMIT is set in a time where you seem to just shoot and blow things up for no reason and that’s a basis for a good arcade game. Enter and beat all 4 levels of the game to become a true master of EMIT.
Aesthetics:
EMIT utilizes classical pixelated graphics dating back to the 8 and 16 bit era. In a sense it does give you that arcade vibe even if you’re just looking at the game and not actually playing it. The visuals are nice and colorful just as you expected them to be. The music is similar to the old days of gaming just like the arcades. It has that nice 8 or 16 bit feel to it that makes you think back of the past.
Gameplay:
EMIT is a 2D side shooting game involving several elements of platforming. The controls of the game are very easy to understand but kind of tricky to execute. The screen is constantly moving so you have to control your character in multiple means. You first need to move around to dodge and avoid incoming fire. We’re talking about attacks that come from the bottom, front and above. During the same time you will need to shoot down enemy targets in front of you or in the later part coming from all directions. The tricky part comes from the fact that you have to aim using the crosshair before you press the fire button. The crosshair itself can be moved with the use of the mouse. If your mouse or crosshair moves out of the screen, then the game will automatically pause which is kind of cool that it gives you time to synchronize your moves. The obstacles in each level vary from the projectiles coming from the enemies, physical obstacles and the enemies themselves. There are a number of enemies that take a couple of shots or more before they are taken down. The level concludes with the boss giving you a hard time. Speaking of hard time, if you die in the level you go back to the beginning or at least where the last checkpoint was. It’s a griming reminder of how hard arcade games used to be but it’s still very much loved by players of different kinds. During the end of each level or whenever you feel like quitting and doing the level over again, you get a chance to upgrade your character. You can purchase different power-ups or simply boost your character’s stats. You really need to make your character strong as the levels get harder and harder as you progress. EMIT does remind you of the old days where games were crazy hard. It’s like having one life to complete the game in a short period of time.
