GOAL:
Kill the Ender Dragon while flying and earn the highest score doing so.

RULES:
1) Create new world.
In creative / hard difficulty / random seed.

2) Change the following gamerules (can be done during creation or after logging in);
Turn Keep Inventory After Death [ON] or /gamerule doKeepInventory True
Turn Advance Time of Day [OFF] or /gamerule doDaylightCycle False

3) If Possible, download and use the optional Datapack;

If you are using the datapack skip to step 8.

For those without the datapack:
4) Give yourself the following items;
(1) Anvil
(2) Unbreaking 3 books
(1) Power 5 book
(1) Bow
(1) Elytra
(1) Diamond Pick
(64) Golden Carrots
Two stacks of Rockets
Three stacks of Arrows

5) Enchant the elytra with Unbreaking 3.
Enchant the Bow with Unbreaking 3 and Power 5

6) When ready, teleport to the end;

/execute in minecraft:the_end run teleport 5 68 5

7) Switch to Survival mode.
/gamemode Survival

8) Fight and defeat the dragon.
If you die, just return to the end either with Shroom Rod or by reissuing the teleport command.

9) When the dragon is dead, and you have returned to the overworld, issue a gametime query. (this will only be used for tie breaks)

10) Tally up your score as follows;

Start with a base 100pts.
Subtract 5pts for every time you died.
subtract 5pts every time you landed (other than to break thru an iron cage around an End Crystal).
subtract 10pts for shooting the dragon while not flying.
Add 25pts if you managed to kill the dragon without dying.

Count up how many rockets and arrows you have left and add that to your score.

Any event where your feet make contact with an object and you switch out of flight mode will be considered landing. If you stayed in flight mode, you did not land.

11) Game Rules: You must be flying to do damage to the dragon.
You are only allowed to damage the dragon by shooting arrows at it.

12) Person with the highest score after defeating the dragon. wins.

13) If you run out of rockets or arrows, the challenge is over. Give it another try.
