As an ESTJ, you thrive in structured environments, but what happens when worries about things outside of your control start to take over? Imagine you have several subpersonalities or characters in you. ESTJs, known for their extraverted Thinking (the Commander) that’s great at getting things done and creating organization. It may be tempting to go on a search for new solutions and possibilities with extraverted iNtuition (the Explorer), but the key to reducing stress and worry lies in slowing down with introverted Sensing (the Guardian).
When things get hectic, instead of following the pull towards possibilities and extrapolation, activate the grounding of nature of the Guardian by taking time to reflect on past experiences and seeking comfort in asking yourself “Where have I seen this before and how can I implement what I learned?” It’s not about doing more and putting out fires, it’s about handling what matters. And pull know what that is through deliberate reflection.
This helps you to create familiar situations out of perceived chaos, which can lead to greater overall well-being and less stress for you as an ESTJ.
