TL;DR - how i go about customizing my UI from default values
ERRATA: i shouldn't have suggested "lock window when pinned" right away...wait a while till you get things organized.

too bad there's no way to export these values. oh well. the plus side of deleting the entire 'local' ccp folder is i can now undock and not get black screen forever.
other things i've discovered that deleting that folder helped (and that 'clearing cache' from the ingame esc menu didn't) are that i no longer get shown 'groups' when i open market. yay!

the also nice thing about being a veteran to this game is i can quickly recall which things i need to customize, and where i like to have them placed usually.

i'm sure i forgot stuff...i'll edit in what i missed later.
1. going into esc settings, heading to general, and checking "autoreject" on dueling (not sure if reject by default)
2. right clicking in space, choosing 'configure' and unchecking "sovereignty"
3. clicking on the search icon to hide that
4. going into the neocon menu, selecting utilities and opening "log and messages" to tweak settings
5. sorting the 'assets' window by jumps instead of the default name
6. widening the columns in Dscan window

btw, thanks to Crasskitty for the epicpen idea...too bad i saw a squirrel and forgot about it within a few seconds after using it the first time.
