TL;DR - whipping about a low sec system transferring planetary resources from and to a fleet hangar on a DST.

Skip about a bit to save yourself time. sorry for the length, it's just that i do this only once every 3 months and haven't quite got the technique nor all the details understood visa vis the bigger picture.
Hopefully next time i do this will be better than the last. what? 3 months from now? lol
and OF COURSE soon as i stopped the video a neutral popped into system. PLH said carebear, but still...jeezuz. lol

in total i had about 200,000m³ ...The silicon itself massed 1/4 of that, but only 6% of the estimated value...or in other words, 1.3b isk divided by 30 planets = approx 43m isk/planet, which means that the silicon planets were outputting half what they should have been doing and probably less than that since they dragged down the average.
I thought silicon would be a fun side venture to try and sell directly from planet to market, but that turned out to be a pipe dream.
definitely deleting those colonies and switching to the storm planets instead for coolant.
==== ADDENDUM

btw, it costs 6m isk for a startup colony at lvl5 command center upgrade (lvl4 skill) involving 2 extractors, 1 silo, 1 launch pad, 4 basic industry and 1 advanced industry plus associated links.

a level 4 command center, for comparison, averaged about 4000 units of mechanical parts per planet (averaged over 3 characters and 4 planets each)...
...i'm actually not sure what planetology skills do exactly...i THINK they help simplify scanning (less fiddling when switching between types) but beyond that i can only speculate...haven't found much info googling in the past. it would be NICE if the skills actually did something more than quality of life but i am really hesitant to speculate (it's on my to do list but DAMN it'll be hard to test)
