so here's me advising against being OCD. ikr?
showing how on a small planet having long link lengths is totally fine, since trying to be perfect won't even eke in an extra extractor head.

see how little savings i'll get by shortening the distance between extractor control heads? i'd need 173 extra power even after ripping up almost my entire colony for 'efficiency' sake...

...thing is, if there's no 'efficacy' then trying isn't good enough.
