EVGA's Factory Colored Power Supply Cables (red) - Unboxing
Here's a look at EVGA's PSU factory colored PSU cables for the G2/G3/P2/T2 Power Supplies. At the start of this video, I mistakenly state that these cables only work with G2 and P2 power supplies. I was mistaken. EVGA's website states that they work with several sets. I have posted a link to that page, at the bottom of this description.
The set in this video is red, but I've used a white set, for the past year, so I have had prior experience with them.
I like these cables, as a convenient, factory sanctioned option, that you can easily order from EVGA or Amazon. Some people feel that these cables are too stiff, but I've never really felt that way about them. My complaint is that they can get out of hand, if your case doesn't offer good cable tie-downs or some other kind of cable management. In my white build, I ended up using zip ties to hold them together, but cable combs would be another solution to try to keep them together.
I'm not sure how the cables will look, on the device you're using to watch the video, so I'll say this: The cables are kind of a dark NON-vibrant red. At the start of the video, I initially thought they looked a little "maroon," in color. Upon further inspection, I would say they do NOT look maroon. They are just a slightly dark red that is not vibrant. As far as how they look in a finished build, look out for a video I hope to post soon, of my son and I building his first computer, with them. (a Corsair Air 540, so they should be displayed somewhat prominently)
