I spent 45 hours testing this game before and after the 1.05 patch. This is what I've figured out, so far.

This video is designed so you can get all of the information I have to give, within the first half of it. The second half is demonstrations of the information given in the first half. If you do not feel that you need to see a demonstration, then skipping the second half should have no ill effect on you. Also, there are technically spoilers, in the second half of the video, since I am showing you how the game performs on specific planets.

i5 6600K, overclocked, 4.5Ghz in this video, for demonstration purposes
(but most testing has been done at 4.7Ghz and 4.8Ghz)

Results for 4.5, 4.7, and 4.8Ghz have all been very similar.
I used a 4.5Ghz overclock, for this video, because I'm aware than not everyone can achieve a 4.8Ghz overclock, but I normally use 4.8Ghz, for my own gaming purposes.

Founder's Edition (custom fan curve is used to lower temp)
