Lag and Desync cause the game to falsely display the current health status or location of a Red Bumper.
Whenever another moving object (a player, or any of the 3 Bumper types) collides with a nearby Bumper (Red, Blue or Grey), the game gets confused. This makes passing through Bumpers without taking damage or losing Speed possible

If there was an offline Mode containing Bumpers, or there was no lag in play (online), this would not be a thing

Reading the comments from all of you, everything pointed towards lag as the deciding factor, and after many attempts of creating similar scenarios, I can say with certainty that lag (sometimes other players hit the Bumpers only on your screen, but not on theirs, yet at other times players must have hit a Bumper on their screen due to how they get re-positioned shortly after, fall behind and then boost to gain back ground) is the reason, and why those harmless touches happend in this video.
Thank you all for your help to uncover this mystery!
