Fallen Leaf: Part 99: Stage 3-STAR 1: Awesome Test Under the Starlit Sky (Gaining the Triple Jump!)
1In the previous level, I got the 4th and final Sacred Slab in the last hidden stage in The Dreadlands.
So I returned to the Enigmatic Stele in the Forgotten Domain. Plookel will still be waiting there.
With the 4 Sacred Slabs, each of them read "Test", "Starlit", "Sky", and "Awesome". Altogther, Plookel translated them into the title: Awesome Test Under the Starlit Sky"!
Leave Enigmatic Stele, and you'll see that rainbow path has opened up, leading to this exact level as the Forgotten Domain's only secret level.

Upon first starting the Awesome Test Under the Starlit Sky, you first pick up the Wings of Light! This lets you do a second Double Jump after your first one. In other words, a Triple Jump!
However, in order to keep this, Angel statues put you through a test, the Awesome Test, itself! Go through this obstacle course with the help of this new Triple Jump power!

The Triple Jump can be used by EVERY character in your party. Leaf, Petal, Thorn, and everyone else you have.
Do two Flaming Cartwheels with Howie! Do two instant Double Jumps with DRB15! Zip and air dash in two completely different directions with Umbra if you want. If Zunts' jet pack fuel runs out, then his Triple Jump will have him recharge it!
Nonetheless, it feels the most appropriate to try and go through this course with Thorn. It just feels like the Wings of Light were specifically for her more than anyone else... Hmmmm...

Some of the setpieces of this special stage includes keeping yourself from falling off the screen while the land around you falls off, until it falls in a way that lets you continue onward.
The motivating music is also taken advantage of in the last portion of this course, where red and green platforms alternate on and off to the rhythm and beat of the music.
Catchy! Just don't catch yourself falling into spikes or off the stage trying to keep up with them!

At the end of this Awesome Test, one of the Angel statue there congratulates you, even launches some fireworks.
Oh... turned out the statue was just Plookel.
He had to confess: He didn't actually know what those Sacred Slabs translated to. He just wanted an excuse to treat the heroes to something special.
The real Angels would never do something this generous, as he and the rest of the Clay Folk HATE them for abandoning nearly all of them to the oceans. He wanted to give himself meaning by scattering the Sacred Slabs and setting up the obstacle course, but in the end, he felt like he just wasted his time...
Regardless of who you used to complete his test, though, they won't mind it. Thorn actually thought the test was fun! This little compliment will be enough to cheer Plookel up!
So now you can keep the Wings of Light and the Triple Jump they gave you as a Passive Upgrade. Plookel also has his own!

There's one more regular level in The Dreadlands, but also one more Peaman to find from it. Interesting...
