Fallen Star is a hack for Golden Sun that rebalances tons of things, increases the difficulty, and adds content such as new bosses/attacks/items.

The latest version can be downloaded from one of the following two places:

ROM shouldn't be hard to find on your own.

In today's episode, the long journey to Bilibin begins after a quick chat with the elder in Vault to get a Water of Aleph, an item that heals everyone. Very very handy for an "oh crap!" moment.

After that, the duo hauls it east towards Goma Cave. There's a couple enemies seen here that were encountered in Sol Sanctum, but they underwent some extensive training and can be potential threats. Bats have Whirlwind which can do 30+ damage to those hit or remove almost as much in PP while Amazes have Frost which, as demonstrated by Garet in one fight, can be very very nasty.

In any case, outside of Goma Cave, Ivan finally shows up and joins the team permanently because Lunpa was a no go so why not?

Ivan comes equipped with that rod he was so devoted to getting back. On the downside, it sets his max PP to 0 and you won't get that back if you swap to another weapon.

The upside though? It gives a nice boost to Ivan's defense & HP, both low points for him right now, and lets him act twice per turn. That means you could use a herb to heal up someone, then follow up with a physical. The unleash is good too with a chance of stunning the affected enemy, making it lose its turn (or one of its turns in the case of something getting to act twice).

First thing's first, I hoof it back to Vale to grab a Power Bread, then get back to Goma Cave and derp up forgetting to give Ivan a weapon that actually lets him use PP (Again!), meaning I had to waste a bit of time running around to get the PP needed to use Whirlwind to enter the cave.

Inside, nothing is too deadly. Undead enemies do have a chance of dropping Waters of Life. You're going to need these so be happy whenever one drops.

The point of interest here is the first Mars Djinn. Unlike Flint, this one wants to fight you and it can be nasty.

First off, it gets two actions per turn. Physical attack isn't too threatening and Debilitate shouldn't make too huge of a difference, but it's the fire attacks it spews out that are very deadly. Two in particular deserve mention, Lava Shower & Flare. Lava Shower can easily OHKO anyone if you're unlucky while Flare is no less deadly then Garet's.

Pray it doesn't do a double Flare or you're basically screwed.

After getting trolled in the first attempt and trying to make it to the next town (And failing!), I ended up returning to Goma Cave to find some of the stones had returned to their original positions, forcing me to have to go put them back where they should be. Got a couple Waters of Life in the process which proved to be very useful in the rematch with the Djinn.

After obtaining Forge, the rest of the video is just me exploring Bilibin for items and talking to McCoy to find out about some kind of curse. Whee!
