Fallen Star is a hack for Golden Sun that rebalances tons of things, increases the difficulty, and adds content such as new bosses/attacks/items.

The latest version can be downloaded from one of the following two places:

ROM shouldn't be hard to find on your own.

Things kick off with Tret once again. I mess around with my Djinni at the start before taking my first go at the boss. The result? I get trolled in record time, haha.

Before talking about the next attempt, might as well talk about Tret.

Tret is one nasty boss with a variety of deadly attacks.

First thing's first, he gets two actions per turn (Of course!).

As for his actual attacks...Soul Grasp can stun a character and do ~40-50 damage. Probably the least threatening thing he can do to be honest. He can also cast Cure Well to heal himself for ~150 HP or so per cast. Yes, he can cast this twice in one turn and be a jerk as a result.

As for his other attacks...hoo boy. Venom Cloud hits hard and can induce deadly poison, Briar & Thorn can debuff agility, and his signature skill, Earth Glaives...good god this skill is nasty. It gives him back HP equal to half of the damage it does...and it can hit multiple characters. On top of that, it does 80-90 damage at least. This combined with something like Venom Cloud or Briar and you could be looking at some deaths here.

Djinni such as Granite (Halves all damage taken) & Breeze (Boosts resistance) will be critical to surviving as well as a solid stock of Sacred Waters & Waters of Life. That Water of Aleph picked up in Vault works very well as an "Oh Crap!" item, healing everyone to full at this stage in the game & reducing all damage by 50% for that turn.

Whomever has Granite equipped should also have the Elven Rapier equipped. That way you can have that person set Granite the turn after using it and still get an attack off (Or heal if that's needed).

If you want to risk it with summoning for a good chunk of damage, go ahead. Make sure that it won't result in Ivan losing some much needed max HP though. He needs every point of it here

The result of this fight is a ring drop that, when equipped to Isaac, lets him cast Earth Glaive. While it has lost its AoE capabilities, it's still a very powerful attack that will give Isaac back 50% of the damage it deals as HP, making it a nice skill to use if Isaac's hurting.

As for how I won against Tret? Suffice it to say I was laughing for pretty much the 2nd half of the winning attempt.

With this section cleared, we're gonna need a way to cure Tret. To do so, we'll need an Empty Bottle (Which we have already) and fill it with some special water. In order for that to happen though, we need to get over to Imil and solve the problem enveloping the town.

Not much happens after Tret besides me getting to Imil, dinking around for a bit there, and getting introduced to Mia before setting out for Mercury Lighthouse.

More to come next video.
