The town of Tumbleweed was bizarre, I mean most towns in the wasteland were bizarre in their own way however the way that Tumbleweed was ran was surely stranger than most. The town in its founding was was under constant attacks from the other towns in its area so every citizen took up arms to protect their village however after the Tumbleweed was established and no long rolling across the wasteland this necessity became a weird tradition and way of life for the people of Tumbleweed.

The politics of Tumbleweed were shaped by the gun, if a man wanted another's position then he would duel them for it. Political supporters would give ammo in order to support their candidates and the two duelists would move into the town center where they would have gunfight like in the old west.

The tale of Samuel was just as bizarre as the founding of his town. He had no support or clout from his fellow citizens but that didn't stop him from rising up in the political ranks of Tumbleweed. Sam always had an uncanny skill with a revolver which was not strange for the people of this town however the way he used it was seen as disrespectful and cruel by the people of the town.

Sam earned the name of "Snake" the day that he got his job as tax collector, one day the tax collector arrived at his tent and rather than paying up Sam challenged him to a duel wanting a new job after working years as a secretary. The collector had the full support of the town however Sam did not, only having 2 bullets for the duel. When the duel was fought it was largely one sided but not in the favor of the collector. Sam won but the way he won was by blowing the fingers off of the Collector's shooting hand.

The collector was now worthless as a political worker now that his only means of promotion and defending his position was taken from him. When the townsfolk demanded to know why Sam politically castrated his opponent rather than just killing him he said quite simply
"I dont like to kill unless i have to, that's just not the kind of thing I like to do"

The townsfolk saw Sam as a dirty fighter and a deceiver, giving him the name of "Samuel the Snake"
