Fallout 4 playthrough continues with this settings trick I learned as my Fallout 4 started opening in my display 2 then display 3. For the life of me, I could not get my Fallout 4 game to open on my main display.
I run four displays here and numbered them one through four. My main display is in front of me, I have another display on top of that one, and then to the right of me, I have two displays one on top of the other. I am a multi-tasker and find having multiple displays just easier for me. I have had up to five displays on my older pc.
So, none of the other settings will work when my system updates or whatever causes this. Nothing works but this. Like all settings, not everything works for everyone. This is something you could try.
If you don't have a custom.ini file just go ahead and make one in your favorite text editor. I have been using Notepad forever, so I just use Notepad. Place the custom.ini file where your other Ini files are placed. I use Mod Organizer 2 and there is a button to push to go to the location of your ini files.
This is just another thing you can try if your game like mine at times opens in the wrong display.
