Farts and Fairies Review — Not Just a Fart Joke
Shelfside reviews Farts and Fairies, a party board game for 2-6 players. Primarily a card game, Farts and Fairies has players taking turns playing fart cards in a round of their tabletop game nights in order to damage other players. For some basic rules: in order to go for the win condition, when the deck of cards runs out, the player with the least amount of fart points from fart cards they own wins the game! You'll get penalized late game for hanging on to fart cards, so be sure to play them all out of your hand! Turns are as simple as draw a card, then play a card, though there's definitely some mind games thrown in. There's also card interactions like deflections, reactions, and special actions that help add just a little bit of strategy to the gameplay. Dad jokes are also heavily dumped into the game, making it a great gag for family game nights. And then there's the fairies, by far the strongest cards in the game with wild abilities like copying any other card effect!
