The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie, starring Michael Fassbender, has been delayed until some time in 2016. The 20th Century Fox film was originally supposed to release in August 2015, but apparently the script has gone through ‘several rewrites’ which has caused further production issues. Fassbender is still intended to play the lead role, though no other members of the cast have been announced so far. Not much has really been announced at all, really, though Fassbender did say that the movie will be ‘respectful of the game’ – whatever the hell that means.

Will we see instant-fail stealth missions where Fassbender just gets pushed to loading screen every time he doesn’t manage to stay in this weird circle of eves-dropping for the right amount of time? Does it mean occasionally stabbing civilians and then having passive-aggressive text tell you that you did not just do that, because it’s historically inaccurate? Surely everyone does that when they play Assassin’s Creed, at least once, right? Just me? What have I become…?
