0So, just as in the Silver Snow route before, the Alliance plan is to sneak into Fort Merceus disguised as Imperial troops and open it from the inside. I do like the contrast in how it's devised, though. Back in Silver Snow, it was just Byleth's idea. Here, the plan was sparked by Hilda, and refined by Claude.
Of course, this really contrasts with the Azure Moon version of this moment, where instead of hearing about how we can't just assault the for directly, we just... assaulted the fort directly.
As for that refinement by Claude? Well, he's brought some Almyrans to bolster our forces! Clever guy. I really appreciate his goal here, too. I know it's come up in supports, but I'm glad he's telling the others that his goal is to tear down the barriers that keep Fodlan separated from the rest of the world.
