Another map whose turn count cannot be matched in a vanilla run. Having a dancer extends our movement by just enough to reach the boss without having to promote Farina (she could use an extra unpromoted level). Getting dropped by another 7 mov flier is sufficient to be able to reach the boss on turn 2 after a turn 1 dance.
Farina and Vaida (Heath is not ready with his current stats) will be flying to an area infested with moderately competent enemies, including plenty of nomads, and the steel bow attacks of the latter really sting. Should many of them connect, either girl can die, though this doesn't happen very often.
Now who does get very real chances of death Nino dodgetanking unreliably in the north. Because of her poor movement, Nino has missed out on being deployed on many of the maps so far, or had very little to do, so she is catching up here. Being mostly 2HKO'd on this map is dangerous, so I had to think twice about placing her further on the bridge where she can counterkill more enemies. While I could get her to survive, her level-up wasn't as good. In a run with minimal RNG rigging (but SOME RNG control), I do care about quality level-ups more than their quantity, except for characters who I may want be interested in seeing promoted in a timely fashion, like any of the mounted units. Nino's already reached promotion range and is waiting for her unfortunately poorly available promo item, so it's quality all the way.
The rest of the army also do a bit of self-improvement, though little of that is possible here. Here I finally start giving Rath some experience. Though he joins earlier than in vanilla, his bases aren't very good and he competes with several more crucial units for experience, ending up not deployed or performing tasks purely based on movement not combat, which results in no exp gain.
Jaffar is fielded for his vision in Fog of War and moves south to light up the boss's area, letting Vaida attack an enemy adjacent to the boss, revealing the boss himself.
Speaking of the bosskill, while Farina can occasionally (depends on what stats are generated for the boss at the start of the chapter) double with an iron lance and certainly doubles with slim, neither of the two do sufficient damage to 2HKO without crits and equipping killer drops AS to where we're not doubling anymore. So it's a single chance to kill the boss with a killer lance crit.
The level she gets is her last unpromoted one. We have a very ambitious clear in mind for the next chapter and she absolutely needs her promoted movement if we want to have a fighting chance at succeeding there, and by succeeding I do mean 2-turning with the Silver Card stolen. Settling for anything less seemed really dull...
