FE8 HM Negative Growths - Chapter 18 (with commentary)

Chapter 18 completed in 6 turns.
Total Turns: 113
I could see this being possible in 5 turns, but in all of my attempts that ended with a 6 turn, I never felt as if I was even close to getting a 5 turn.
0:35 I forgot to mention that eggs grant a ton of exp, so that's ofcourse amazing for a negative growths run!
1:01 Tana has 5 strength, which means she deals 2x0, 2x2 and 1x5 damage (Slim, Iron, Steel) while Vanessa has 4 Strength and deals 2x0, 2x1, 1x4.
Tana also doesn't lose strength on her next level up so technically she could one round 3 5 HP eggs and only after that she is useless.
2:24 Actually, this isn't true. I looked at the Gorgons stats with Demon Surge, not with Shadowshot. With Shadowshot she one-shots him even with the barrier, which makes it even weirder why she decides to attack the phantom instead, but I'll take it.
9:30 As Jelly Unicorn pointed out, me saying that the glitch comes from the patch is incorrect, it does happen in the vanilla game too.
I only noticed the glitch during my last replay of the lategame, since every other playthrough dropped a few extra turns in chapter 16 so that Saleh already has warp before chapter 18, because I was kind of afraid of this chapter. However not having Saleh at A rank staves in this chapter doesn't really make the chapter harder at all.
Ofcourse I could have just given the barrier staff increased staff exp gain for the last few chapters, since the staff exp plan is perfectly valid, but I don't really want to do that since it is kind of boring.
10:16 he still breaks all those staves, so without these counter measures I still would have to drop a turn somewhere, though ofcourse using the repair rescue strat isn't exclusively responsible for this, I also used a few more staves with him in general.
11:08 technically making that up takes 5 actions, not turns. Since I do dance for a him a bit in later chapters. But even 5 actions isn't enough time.
12:45 I think this is the only reinforcement zone where you can block them because of the way they are loaded, but I'm not an expert on this.
