2This a modified version of FF7 which enhances the HP/MP and stats of enemies and bosses. Don't bother with asking me where to find it. Google will be your loyal guide and friend.
Well, I saw it coming. Considering I don't have any access to Sadness yet (And won't until the world map is accessible), this fight is easily the toughest one thus far. The little critters hit painfully hard with Fire and Ice spells.
Sample:HO512 has a strong physical attack on top of using Shady Breath, likely poisoning Barret and Red XIII (Cloud has the Star Pendant equipped to block it from hitting him).
The problem should be obvious here. Two Fire or Ice spells on a single target, or a spell and a physical from the boss, will be the death of anyone here, even at full HP.
Taking out the little critters' MP is simple with Barret's Mindblow. It's made easier for me thanks to him getting Fury from a random battle. There's some luck needed here of course that Barret gets his limit, but also doesn't get killed in the process.
Once all 3 critters are stripped of their MP, it gets a bit easier. There's one other attack the litters critters have, Rolling Attack. It's only a bit weaker than their spells (Around 40 or so less dmg). While Red at full HP can take a RA and a physical from the boss, neither Cloud nor Barret can survive a combo like that.
Despite all that, taking out Sample:HO512's 1600 HP in this mod is going to be a lofty battle with everything explained here.
After Red moves to the back row and uses Sense, he plays the role of pure damage dealer here with Fire casting and a Sled Fang here and there when he gets a limit.
Cloud is a healer first and foremost. Fire spells and Cross-Slash otherwise.
Barret, as mentione before, has priority in ripping the MP off the little critters with Mindblow. Otherwise he's just like Cloud here, except he uses Ice and Big Shot when he can.
When it comes time to kill people and leave a sole survivor, the designated person (Cloud in this case) should defend to increase their chances of surviving. The others move to the front row and await their death before the survivor ends the fight.
Cloud hits lv9 as a result from this battle.
