There may be actions that are done for practical purpose or for no particular purpose in the playthrough; the mandatory actions done in this episode are the following and they can be used as a guide (note that during this playthrough, certain actions can only be done during a short period of time and others can be postponed; note also that there is the possibility I may have missed events like dialogue replacement, sprite change, additional scenes and so on, since those are not generally considered as goals and are not documented at all):
* Give a Lapis Lazuli to the friendly Garuda (timecode: 07:20).
* Give a Diamond to the friendly Yan to end the friendly monsters quest (timecode: 12:55).
* Answer the 11th Pop quiz question correctly (timecode: from 25:51 to 26:26).
* Answer the 12th Pop quiz question correctly (timecode: from 40:44 to 41:18).
Extra info/corrections/comments on this episode:
* You will notice an important drop in image quality from this episode and onwards, due to a forced device replacement (the previous phone was stolen). I would suggest then setting the video quality at the max 720p in order to make it bearable.
* I usually master almost all the abilities available in Disc 3 in this kind of challenges, in order to be at ease to pass the remaining battles and to start the main training against Yans once in Disc 4; I usually put off mastering abilities that require a lot of AP but aren't really useful (like Long Reach and Restore HP for example).
* Without taking into account the friendly monsters, the forests in the islands west of the Forgotten Continent (Salvage Archipelago, Everlang Island and Sacrobless Island) are the best spots to farm AP in Disc 3 in my opinion, because the only monsters encountered there (Worm Hydra most of the time and Gimme Cat sometimes) are the most harmless and the least prone to waste time among the monsters that give 3 AP per battle when petrified (Worm Hydra always starts with Venom Breath that can be guarded by Antibody, while Gimme Cat always starts by requesting a Diamond).
* You can trigger the quiz battles when in forests, so be careful not to complete the quiz quest without being prepared to ensure that the EXP points received from the Ragtime Mouse will not harm the stats of your characters.
