Some of you remember that my initial intention was to clear Kefka's Tower and beat the final boss in one go, without visiting the dungeon several times to have the strongest party fight each boss.

That aim indeed WAS achieved but only until the finale. One reason was that my levels were too low to survive some of the attacks that I had to withstand (Kefka's Forsaken, for instance). Second, and a big surprise for me, was that I was unable to silence Magic of the second Tier using the Bad Breath Lore. The knowledgeable folks on GameFAQs explained me that in the GBA version of the game an attack that inflicts several negative status effects will miss if Imp is one of those effects and the target happens to be immune to Imp (which is the case with Magic). With both Magic AND Tiger attacking you, it's clear that a lv. 25-30 party doesn't stand a chance.

I was forced to leave the tower to level up a bit more, and I also stole 20 more Impartisans because it seems to be the best weapon so easily available that can be thrown for big damage.

My party for the final battles was Shadow, Gogo, Strago and Terra. Gogo was given Tools, Items and Lore commands, but he mainly just mimicked Shadow in throwing whatever the appropriate weapon for the moment is (since I'm not exactly bathing in Impartisans, I saved those for the crucial bits, like killing Tiger as quickly as possible in Tier 2, wasting Rest/Sleep once he reaches the deadly face and of course the final Kefka). Tools is for Air Anchor in Tier 1/2 and Items is there for emergency. It's not very tricky to time Gogo to always go after Shadow but I needed some attempts to get used to it.

Strago is mostly there for Mighty Guard and White Wind (when Gogo was stopped during Tier 2, I had him replace the poor chap by casting Hidon's prized Lore) and Terra is an essential support character (casting Fire is our only reasonable way of melting frozen characters before Tiger dies too).

Don't try looking for recordings of the first two tiers because the file somehow got corrupt (I think it has something to do with recording without stopping for too long with VBA's function; at least, it's hardly the first time this issue is bugging me)and knowing how many attempts I needed to even reach Tier 3 I didn't want to do it all over again.

Good news is that I do have videos of Lady and Rest, as well as the finale against Kefka, obviously.

The beginning of the third tier isn't very complicated. Shadow and Gogo concentrate on eliminating Lady as soon as possible. She has lot HP so this is achieved very easily. Terra and Strago heal each other. If Strago is silenced, he should be remedied immediately as we need him to cast White Wind and, in case someone dies, Mighty Guard again. We used Cura, Raise and Poisona in previous tiers with Terra, but this time we have no time to waste casting spells so relevant items are used instead and we don't worry when she is silenced.

Once the boss's HP is around 10K, he reaches the scary phase when he uses Meteo every turn as well as sometimes in counters. The strategy here is to kill him as soon as possible because this phase is deadly.

Once Sleep dies, it may take up to two characters out with Repose. He used the dreaded move once this time and took out my best character out of the four. Boo hoo.
