In this episode, I change my Grand Company from the Twin Adders to the Maelstrom.

I am doing this so I can work towards the minions and Chocobo bardings for my collection. In order to change your Grand Company, you need to go to the Grand Company HQ you want to change to which are Twin Adder's (Gridania), The Maelstrom (Limsa Lominsa) and Eternal Flame (Ul'dah) and speak to the Personnel Officer.

The first time you change the Grand Company is free but after it will cost 50,000 Gil. Also, there is a lockout for a few days before you are able to change again after you have changed.

Any Seals previously earned with a previous Grand Company will be retained just greyed out until you become a member of the previous Grand Company again. Also, each Grand Company has its own PvP Rank, which means you will start again from PvP Rank 1 with a new Grand Company but any levels obtained with the previous will not be lost. This is to ensure you get from Rank 1 to 40 on a single Grand Company and do not switch partway to have more chances of winning.

The fastest way to rank up when changing Grand Company is to do the Hunting Log and FATE's. Once you have progressed enough through the Ranks again you will be able to purchase all rewards for Grand Company seals as usual.
