1. Focus on the MSQ because most of the content is locked behind it.

a. The story is decent but you can still have a great time skipping all the dialog


2. For the side quests do the Blue Plus Sign quests. These unlock different mechanics of the game, from optional dungeons to the glamour system.

a. One of these blue quests will be your class quest. You will get one of these every 5 levels and they are very important to do.



3. You have to reach level 10 and do your class quest. You can unlock all the classes on one character but try to focus on 1 or 2. There is a trap that you can fall into of leveling a bunch of classes up and then getting burned out on the game. Of course experiment and do what is fun just try not to go over board.


4. Don't worry too much about your gear as you level through the MSQ. The MSQ actually gives you a lot of good equipment for whatever class you are.

a. If you do want to upgrade your equipment or you are gearing another class, the vendors in each City-State are a great source of equipment.


5. Where's the bank? Where is the auction house?
a. Retainers
i. You get 2 Retainers for free
ii. You can pay real worth money for additional retainers through the Mogstation

b. Quest Req: The Scions of the Seventh Dawn
i. Level 17 quest

c. Once you get them, you can call them at a Summoning bell (in your inn room or at each market in the City States)
d. When you summon then you can give them items to hold on to and give them items to sell.
i. The items that you are selling do not appear in their inventory.
