warning! Contains scenes from the ending, spoilers blah blah blah...

It is said that the final sequences of a game represent, and if not should represent, the game. It kinda does hold true for this case, in the sense that it made me feel very dead inside.

I initially wanted to write an essay long description detailing why I hate this game, but I've calmed down since the last quarter a year of not touching it.

It's the DmC DMC argument all over again. It is a functional game, good even. But all the parts that are familiar make me despise it. Just so it's obvious what I'm talking about, look up Final Fantasy versus XIII.

I don't want to keep harping on about the director change, for as far as I know, nothing would've been different. I just feel that it's a shame this game will be remembered as such, when there's a slight possibility it could have not been.

Like XIII, this is a tremendous technical achievement. But it's not an experience I'd enjoyed ploughing through as a consumer. Superb looking particle effects though.

The initial combo system I was very interested in since Episode Duscae has more or less been abolished in XV. Maybe I'll do a bit on it, maybe not.

Apart from the wrong-switch pose glitch and exploring even more bugs with Adamantoise, I don't think I want to return to this game.

With some post game stuff, I have over 100 hours into the game. 5 of which was me stuck in Pitioss Dungeon from midnight till morning. Can't say I didn't give it any chance.

P/S: that last photo is a fishing rod floating all by itself. Should've could've chosen a weirder photo for that.
