Final DOOM: The Plutonia Experiment - Ultra Violence - Map 24-26
Map 24.
Probably the easiest of the harder maps, if that makes sense.
It even shows you an Invulnerability Sphere.
the platforming is probably the hardest bit of this level. There's narrow walkways and those pillars which annoyed me.
It's worth clearing the first room out, grabbing the Invulnerability Sphere and rushing through the final area to take out as much as possible.
There's a Cyberdemon in this final room, but you can take it out from range with a Rocker Launcher/Plasma Rifle.
I prefer the former, so I can BFG pretty much everything else to rush the exit. Archviles and the hitscan enemies. opposite the entrance are your only real threat.
MAp 25.
the first half of this level isn't particularly hard, there's enemies you don't have to deal with, you just need a couple of teleporters (you can't go back to these two areas after).
The second part is a bit harder, if only for ambushes that happen after you get the blue key. The enemies in the lava filled room for the yellow key aren't too hard, but right at the end there's quite a few Commandos, Mancubi, Revenants who will surround you as you grab the Red Key.
Map 26.
Definitely one of the harder levels.
Take out the enemies around and in the bunker before heading into the water. In the bunker you'll need a couple of switches to get to the Blue Key. I think you only need one of the two keys to win though, as either the blue or red switch will open up the path to the exit.
The constant ambushes near the Blue Key will be the problem, especially the ambush triggered when you try to get where the Archvile is by the exit.
Get the Megasphere when you need it, and save BFG/Rockets for the mass spam of enemies at the end if you can.
The difficulty definitely lowers a bit in the next three levels, although none of the maps should be underestimated.
