Single Crystarium, No Accessory Upgrades, No Ultimate Weapons challenge.

Sazh - Deneb Duellers - Silver Bangle
Light - Gladius Iron Bangle
Vanille - Pearlwing Staff - Iron Bangle

Dreadnoughts main problem is his Wrecking Ball attack during the 2nd phase, this 1 shotted me at full HP on the 1st attempt so HP accessories is the way to go here, I used Silver Bangle for +100 HP on Sazh and Iron Bangles for the other 2 which give +50 HP, I tried to save money.

1st phase is easy, start in com/syn/sab and have Sazh cast Bravery on Light and Faith on Sazh + Vanille whilst vanille Deshells it and light in com to get the chain gauge going, after buffs are up swtich to rav/rav/rav or if you notice Vanille stick Deshell then switch to syn/rav/com to carry on buffing whilst your allies get the chain gauge up, once he's staggered stay in com/rav/rav to easily take him out in the 1st phase.

The boss can use Steam Clean which removes negative buffs so having Faith up on Light and using 3 Rav's is a waste of time, he dies quickly from com/rav/rav anyway.

The 2nd phase is as usual a little harder, he hits all allies at once and has a new devastating attack, Wrecking Ball which he uses on every 3rd attack so make sure you're fully healed as it can 1 shot you at this level so you also need HP accessories to survive it, to take this guy out then just go the same way as the 1st phase but switch over to med every so often or just pop a few potions.

You may also want to cast Faith on Lightning and stay in rav/rav/rav when the boss is staggered as long as he has Deshell up, this will cause more damage that having her in com.

The fight against the PSICOM soldiers following this boss is harder!

Why take this challenge?

It's very challenging and doesn't require much grinding/farming, in fact gil farming isn't required, I never did it at all and only did a bit of CP grinding when I got to chapter 11.

Recomended Roles:

To clarify on single crystarium - This means you can only level 1 type of role, recommended roles are as follows:
Lightning - Com (Highly recommended)
Snow - Sen (100% must have)
Sazh - Syn (Could be changed - It isn't a must have but Haste is great until/if Hope learns at chapter 12 it if you take him the Syn route)
Hope - Syn (Highly recomended but may be able to be changed only for med)
Vanille - Sab (100% needed)
Fang - Com (Highly recommended)

Really Sazh or Hope are the only ones you may want to change (1 of them definately needs to be Syn though), the others are highly recommended though, Vanille needs Sab no matter what and same goes to Snow's Sen.

For those not sure about Sazh's and Hope's Syn's then Sazh gets Haste, Bravery and Faith early and he also gets En-spells (Enfire, Enblizzard, etc.) which are unique to him, Hope gets Protect and Shell early and Bar-spells (Barfire, Barthunder, etc.) are unique to him, each character learns the none unique spells come chapter 12.
